Pressing Dispatch now all day is tiring. A schedule does it for you: MiniDrop plans trips on its own, at the rhythm you choose, whenever orders are waiting. You still approve every route, so you stay in control.
Step 1: Open Configuration
On the Dispatch page, press Configuration at the top right. A box called Dispatch configuration opens.
Step 2: Choose how often
No schedule means it never runs by itself: you press Dispatch now when orders are queued. Every X minutes runs on a repeating timer. Fixed times each day runs at the times you add.
Step 3: For a repeating timer
Choose Every X minutes, then press 15 min, 30 min, 45 min or 60 min, or type your own Hours and Minutes.
Step 4: For fixed times
Choose Fixed times each day. Pick an Hour and Min and press Add. Add as many times as you need, for example one before each delivery slot. Times are in Indian Standard Time (IST). Press the small cross on a time to remove it. You need at least one time.
Step 5: Press Save
You will see "Dispatch configuration saved".
What you see after saving#
When orders are waiting, a Next optimization card shows a countdown, the exact time and a line such as "Runs every 30 min while orders are queued". Press Change to set a different time for the next run, or Dispatch now to go sooner. The left menu also shows the countdown under Dispatch.
Which rhythm suits you?#
These are starting points, so change them after a week if they do not feel right:
Orders come all day and customers are waiting (food, bakery): try Every X minutes with 15 or 30 minutes.
You promise delivery slots (grocery, meat and fish): try Fixed times each day, with one time shortly before each slot.
Few orders: stay on No schedule and press Dispatch now yourself.
Does it run when there are no orders?
No. It runs only while orders are queued.
Will riders get trips without my approval?
No. You approve every route. See how.
What if no rider is online at the time?
The Dispatch page shows "No outlet riders online" and nothing is planned. Orders stay in the queue for the next run.
