After you press Dispatch now, MiniDrop plans a route for each online rider. You know your area better than any program, so you get the last word: review each route, change it if you want to, and approve it.

  1. Step 1: Find Review optimized routes

On the Dispatch page, under Routes ready, you see one card per rider. Each card shows the rider's name, an Online or Offline tag, and a line such as "5 orders · 8.2 km", with the kilometres saved when the plan beat the simple order. The first three customers are listed, with "+2 more orders" for the rest.

  2. Step 2: Press View to open a route

A box opens with the rider's name and Delivery sequence. Use the List and Map buttons to switch between the stops as a list and the stops on a map.

Route box with the Map view: numbered stops on a map starting from the Pickup point, with Move all orders back to queue, Close and Approve route buttons
  3. Step 3: Change the order of stops

In List, hold the grip icon beside a stop and drag it up or down to change the order. Do this when you know that a customer is on the way, or wants to be first.

Route box with the List view: five numbered stops with customer, phone and address, each with a grip icon for dragging
  4. Step 4: Take orders off a rider

If you do not want this rider to carry the trip, press Move all orders back to queue. The orders go back to the queue and can be planned again.

  5. Step 5: Approve

Press Approve on the rider's card, or Approve route inside the box. MiniDrop sends the trip to that rider and notifies them. Repeat for each rider.

When a rider is offline#

The card for an offline rider says "Rider is offline. Open View to move orders back to the queue, or wait until they are online to approve." The Approve button stays off until the rider goes online.

What happens next#

The rider gets a notification with the trip and their stops in order. The trip shows under Live trips on the Dispatch page, and the orders change from Pending to Assigned. See how to track them.

Can I approve only some of the riders?

Yes. Each route has its own Approve button. Routes you have not approved stay in Routes ready.

What are the orders in "Orders still in queue"?

These were not part of the current routes. They are dispatched on the next run.

I approved by mistake.

Contact the rider straight away. Orders that are Pending or Assigned can also be cancelled from Orders. See how.
