You will create your MiniDrop account, tell us about your shop and send it for approval. It takes about ten minutes, and you can do it on your phone or your computer.
Before you start#
An email address you can open right now. MiniDrop sends a code to it.
A mobile number where we can reach you.
Your shop's name and address, and what you sell.
Optional: your shop's GST number.
Step 1: Open the sign-up page and enter your email
Choose Start free on minidrop.in, or start here. You will see Let's get your shop started. Type your email address and choose Continue. Signing up is free to start and needs no payment.
If you already have a MiniDrop account, you will be told and offered a way to sign in instead.
Step 2: Enter the 6-digit code from your email
MiniDrop sends a 6-digit code to your email. Type it in. If you cannot see the email, look in your spam folder. You can ask for a new code after a minute.
Step 3: Tell us about you
Enter your name and your 10-digit mobile number. We use it so we know who to call if you need help.
Step 4: Choose a password
Choose a password of at least 6 characters, then create your account. You will move straight on to your shop's details.
Step 5: Tell us about your business
Fill in Shop or business name, choose What do you sell? and tell us How many deliveries do you do in a day? The GST number is optional.
Step 6: Mark where your shop is
Search for your shop to fill in the Full shop address. If the search cannot find it, tap the map to drop the pin yourself. Riders will come to this pin to pick up orders, so place it carefully.
Step 7: Choose who will deliver your orders
Choose My own riders. It is described as "You use your own delivery staff. We plan the best routes for them."
Step 8: Check your details and submit
The last screen shows your business, your shop address and your delivery choice. Each has an edit button. When everything is right, choose Submit for approval.
What the approval status page means#
After you submit, MiniDrop shows a status page. You do not need to keep refreshing it: it checks by itself, and again whenever you come back to the page.
What you see | What it means and what to do |
|---|---|
We got your details | Your details are submitted and waiting. Nothing to do. This usually takes one working day, and we email you. |
We are reviewing your details | A MiniDrop team member is checking your details. Nothing to do. You can close the page. |
You are approved! | Your account is ready. The page opens your account on its own, or you can choose Go to my account. |
We need a few changes | We need something corrected, and the page shows the reason. Choose Edit and resubmit, fix the details and send them again. |
What happens after approval#
As soon as you are approved, MiniDrop opens a short guided setup. It asks you to check your shop, add your first rider and choose how orders will reach MiniDrop. Finish the getting-started steps is the next guide.
