Let orders flow in from your billing software or online store
Stop retyping addresses. Connect your billing counter, restaurant POS, website or ordering app so every order becomes a delivery on its own.

A customer orders on your website. Your billing counter prints a bill. Then someone copies the name, the phone number and the address into another screen, so a rider can be sent.
That second typing is slow, and it is where mistakes creep in. A wrong digit in a phone number, a missed landmark, an order that nobody copied at all because the counter was busy.
If you already use billing software, a restaurant system, a website or an ordering app, you can have orders arrive in MiniDrop on their own.
The cost of typing every order twice#
Time. Even one minute per order adds up to hours in a busy week.
Mistakes. Every retyped address is a chance for a wrong one, and a wrong one is a failed delivery.
Delays. The order waits until someone is free to enter it, so the rider leaves later.
Stress at the counter. Staff are billing, packing and typing at the same time.
What "connected" means for your counter staff#
When your system is connected to MiniDrop, a delivery order made in your billing software or online store shows up in MiniDrop by itself, with the customer's name, phone number and address. Your staff do not enter it a second time.
The order then waits in the queue like any other. You dispatch it, approve the route, and the rider gets it. Everything after that works as before.
Your system can also be told when something changes: when the order is picked up and when it is delivered. So your billing screen or ordering app can show the progress too, without anyone calling the rider.
Customers who order again are recognised, and their address is saved. See saved customer addresses.
What your customer sees#
Nothing different, and that is the point. They order the way they always did, on your website, your app or at the counter. After that they get the same live tracking link, with your shop's name and logo, as any other delivery.
How to get it done#
You do not need to understand how it works. You need three things: your software provider, a handover file from MiniDrop, and ten minutes.
Step 1: Open the connection page
In the outlet portal, open Connect your billing software from the menu. This page holds what your software provider needs.
Step 2: Create the access and download the handover file
Follow the page to create your access details and download the file. Keep it private, like a bank cheque book. Do not share it in a chat group.
Step 3: Hand the file to your software provider
Send it to the company or person who looks after your billing software, restaurant system, website or ordering app. Ask them to connect it to MiniDrop. The file tells them what they need.
Step 4: Place a test order
When they say it is ready, make one delivery order from your own system. Check that it appears in MiniDrop with the right name, phone number and address.
When is it worth doing?#
If you deliver a handful of orders a day, typing them in is fine, and you can start that way. Connecting your software starts to pay off when the same person is billing, packing and entering orders at the same time, or when orders come in from your website or ordering app all day.
A good rule: if your staff ever say "I will enter that delivery in a minute" and then forget, it is time. The order that was never entered is a customer who never got their delivery.
Frequently asked questions#
Do I need to change my billing software?
Not necessarily. If your software provider can connect it, you can keep using it. If it cannot be connected, you can still add orders by hand in the outlet portal.
Will MiniDrop work with my specific software?
It depends on whether your provider can set up the connection. Ask them, and share the handover file. If they have questions, they can contact us.
Do I have to connect anything to start?
No. Many shops begin by adding orders by hand in the outlet portal, and connect their software later when the volume grows.
Can my staff still add orders by hand?
Yes. Orders that arrive on their own and orders your staff add by hand wait in the same queue.
Is it safe?
The handover file is private to your outlet. Keep it safe, share it only with your software provider, and tell us if you think it has been seen by someone else.
If you are busy enough to type the same address twice, you are busy enough to stop. Open the connection page and send the file to your software provider.
